Nancy Marie Preston, 72, passed away on June 22, 2012 at her home in Nashville, TN. She was born on May 31, 1940 in Nashville to Robert and Helen Bixby.

Nancy grew up in Nashville and graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1958. After high school, Nancy attended college at Austin Peay University in Clarksville, TN were she received a degree in Accounting. She worked at Third National Bank (later SunTrust) for 32 years in numerous roles ranging from Teller to VP of Mortgage Lending.

Nancy married Harrison Preston in 1964 in Nashville. They were happily married for 44 years. Nancy was a member of numerous civic organizations including Toastmasters and The Rotary Club. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending time with her loving family and was active in her church.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison Bixby; and her sister Patricia McAlister.

A funeral service will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home at 3:00pm Thursday June 26. A visitation will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 – 9:00pm. The family will be greeting friends and relatives during those times.  Burial will follow the funeral also at Woodlawn.
